      Vision zero project intern

The Vision Zero program is a collaborative effort to eliminate traffic fatalities and incapacitating injuries through education, enforcement, policy change, street design remediation, and public dialogue. My work at the Bicycle Transportation Alliance involves building the foundation of a Vision Zero program suitable for the Portland metro region. To achieve this, I looked at several Vision Zero programs from peer cities for examples of implementation that would be feasible on a local scale. The end product is a comprehensive report that includes recommendations on how to eliminate traffic fatalities in the Portland metropolitan region. Show less
