  I have Seven years experience in vendor management, contract negotiations, and financial analysis for the world’s largest retailer. I am a firm believer in and have consistently proven that a team with a structured sourcing and negotiation plan is the most effective means of achieving value.I’ve held various roles within the VMO addressing Software, Hardware, Services, and Telecommunications. The constant through those roles has been a drive to develop contracts, relationships, and tools that achieve our corporate goals while finding new and inventive ways to maximize the value achieved, mitigate risk, and adhere to Walmart’s cultural beliefs of “Save Money, Live Better” and “Every Day Low Cost”.Within Walmart, successful negotiations require developing relationships and credibility across multiple international markets, local IT and business segments, and with corporate executives. In addition, the ability to create, participate in, or lead a negotiation or multi-disciplined team is pivotal to ensuring value creation, due diligence, and adherence to corporate policies. My current role as Global Software Category Manager has provided the additional responsibility for associate development through direct training, mentoring, and leveraging skill sets across markets. I believe growing associate talent, developing career paths, and succession planning not only provides benefit to the company but keeps associates engaged and provides a higher level of job satisfaction.
