      Frc technical director

Team 254 is a FIRST Robotics Hall of Fame Team that won the World Championship in 2011, 2014, 2017, and 2018.• Selected as FRC Technical Director for the 2018-2019 season to lead the team and to oversee the robot design and build process. Led the team to the 2019 World Championship Finals.• Chosen as Dean's List Semi-finalist, a FRC award for outstanding student leadership and contribution.

    • Bright machines

      Jun 2019 - Aug 2019
      Software intern

Bright Machines is a software-defined manufacturing company that combines software, machine learning, computer vision and adaptive robotics to automate the most manual phases of the manufacturing process. During my internship I investigated programs for their CAD translator service and assisted with various 3D Modeling related components of their digital twin, a virtual simulator of factory machines.

    • Formula electric at berkeley

      Aug 2019 - Jun 2024

Formula SAE Electric is an international engineering design competition where university students design and construct a Formula-style electric race car that is judged for acceleration, efficiency, endurance and other aspects.Led FEB's powertrain team in the research, design, and manufacturing of the teams first ever running powertrain. Managed team of 8 students in design of vehicle lap simulation, chain driven 3.53:1 drivetrain, 3.2kW cooling system, and dynamometer testing. 2022-23 powertrain design reduced custom part count by over 20%, added active cooling, and added options for drivetrain tuning. The powertrain ultimately passed mechanical inspection on the first try at competition, the team's first time ever doing so. Show less

Designed and manufactured prototypes to determine device style and functionality.

    • Tesla

      Jan 2022 - Aug 2022
      Mechanical engineering design intern

Developed multiple powertrain test rigs to explore new designs and diagnose drive unit issues. One test rig involved over 50 custom parts that I designed and managed manufacturing, assembly and testing of. Additionally, worked with suppliers to validate new materials and manufacturing processes.

    • Uc berkeley embodied dexterity group (edg)

      Aug 2022 - Jan 2023
      Mechanical engineering researcher

EDG studies the design of robots for real-word grasping and dexterous manipulation. The research impacts a wide range of applications including space/ocean exploration, search and rescue, industrial/service tasks and human assistancePrototyped, designed, and manufactured multiple variable transmission grasping prostheses. Employed ideas from CVTs to increase dexterity and minimize exertion while balancing cost, weight, and power. Paper has been accepted for publication by IEEE International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics in September 2023. Show less
