This individual has the lofty goal of co-ordinating over a dozen committees and offering them help in terms of referring important contacts, T-Shirt printings, event promoting, and helping teams when they are scrambling to get all their work done at the last minute. A big part of the job is to aid in the channelling of requests from committees to the other members of the executive committee. The VP Internal has historically been a huge enthusiast in terms of going to EUS events and is someone who loves to work with people. Besides the responsibility inside of the EUS, the VP Internal also deals heavily with the SSMU executive and the other faculty student associations on campus.   As an engineer in the Civil department within our Transportation Practice, I have performed a diverse array of tasks related to the design and implementation of pedestrian plazas, streetscape reconstructions, and parks, including:-Conducted traffic studies and simulations for work zone plans, construction impact mitigation, and future conditions analysis for projects including Manhattan Bridge Rehabilitation, BQE Triple Cantilever, and Far Rockaway Street Reconstruction-Coordinated data collection and management efforts for the siting and testing of over 4,000 potential Green Infrastructure sites, along with additional geospatial analysis and mapping on ArcGIS-Designed stormwater drainage systems for projects such as Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the National Mall’s Constitution Garden, and the Queens DA Office-Prepared DOB Builders Pavement Plans (BPP), DOT Sidewalk, Curb, and Roadway Applications (SCARA), Revocable Consents, and vault applications for sidewalk projects for a number of private projects.-Conducted field investigations and compiling the DDC reports for "Hardware and Basin Inventory," "Cellar Doors," and "Sidewalk Vaults," most notably for Downtown Far Rockaway and Jackson Height's Diversity Plaza.-Supervised drill crews and conducting soil tests as part of the DEP's Green Infrastructure project, where rain gardens, bioswales, and permeable pavements are used to reduce the runoff entering the combined stormwater and sewer system in the Hutchinson and Flushing watersheds.-Managed administrative aspects of a BQE macro and meso traffic simulation effort for NYC DOT.-Assisted in Construction Administration tasks for the first phase of the EDC's Stapleton Waterfront redevelopment.-Conducted photometric analysis and assisting in the development of the lighting design for Constitution Gardens in Washington DC's National Mall.-Prepared Division 1 and technical specifications Show less
