Played a key role in the journey of growing the business to $ 4 billion Assets Under Management in Energy & Airports and subsequent divestment due to global headwinds during the meltdown of 2008-10. Was a Board Observer in the International JVs and SPVs driving the efforts to realize the strategic objectives for GMR. Developed and implemented the Strategy and Business Plan for International business in Airports and Power Sectors. Set up the International operations and onboarded over 100 executives in London, Istanbul and Singapore. Designed, developed and implemented business processes and Balanced Scorecards for subsidiaries, JVs and SPVs. Successfully executed a USD 1.1 billion acquisition of a 50% stake in InterGen (a 13,000 MW global energy company). Implemented operational controls for profit improvement for InterGen resulting in sizeable cashflows and improved valuation for the firm. Part of the core team that successfully executed the construction of the EUR 0.5 billion, 25 million passenger Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (ISGIA) in a record 18 months. Oversaw volume, revenue and profit growth in both aero and non-aero businesses in ISGIA Airport (The airport became the fastest growing airport in Europe and witnessed a sizeable growth in non-aero revenue).Co-led business development, fundraising through QIP and fuel purchase negotiations for international projects.
