  At IOCL, I was a vocational trainee in the business of oil and energy. I was part of the project who were working on converting MTBE plant to ETBE plant to enhance the octane number of the motor spirit. Task which I worked on during the internship are: 1) Performed a study on process descriptions and demand supply of MTBE and identified the bottle neck sections. 2) Detailed study on the advantages and disadvantages of ETBE over MTBE. 3) Performed research analysis on catalyst selection and rate kinetics, designed heat exchanger and pumps of required capacity for ETBE and estimated the product cost and profit. 4) Determined the specifications of HE and pumps which should be adjusted to convert the unit.   At UPL, I was part of Trouble shooting(Max-Pro) and Production team in agriculture business. I was involved in capacity enhancement and solvent reduction projects of an India based global provider of sustainable agriculture solution which works with farmers to feed the world through sustainable farming. Alongside, the ad-hoc are: 1) Mentoring GETs on Adsorption, Absorption, Decantation and Extraction operations and arranged them a plant tour explaining detailed process flow and basic information on equipment used in plant. 2) Tracking the purity of the DMPAT on daily basis to ensure quality of product. 3) Perfomed lab experiments on capacity enhancement of DMPAT from 500 TPM to 900 TPM 4) Daily tracking of temperatures with temperature gun of Heat Exchangers to check the performance of HE. 5) Member of the Key Focus team, which was primarily responsible for the Solvent Reduction Project and providing solutions to the various units located on the site.
