      Tree Surgeon

My first role in the tree care industry with a small company in Michigan. I was responsible for ground operations, vehicle and equipment maintenance. I learned how to operate chippers and stump grinders. I gained experience in technical rigging techniques using lowering devices and other equipment. I learned my way around a chainsaw and used them daily while working. I was a part of many big tree removal projects including crane work. By the end of my time with Great Lakes I was starting to climb my first trees. I credit the owner and his knowledge, skills and expertise for my interest in the arbor culture industry today.
