      Elected to the Council in 2008 for the Australian Labor Party on the western side of Lake Macquarie at the age of 27. Daniel served as Deputy Mayor in 2013/2014.Lake Macquarie is a rather diverse and unique area made up of over 90 communities. It has an estimated 202,676 residents and is the fastest growing city in the Hunter. Lake Macquarie is the 5th biggest city in NSW. The lake itself is twice the size of Sydney Harbour and provides 174km of foreshore, hidden coves and secluded bays.
