My growing responsibilities with ProMedica have resulted in a position adjustment. I now manage clinical nutrition services at 15 hospitals and long term care centers in northwest Ohio and southern Michigan. I also oversee a centralized room service call center which provides service to 10 of the hospitals within this region. In this position I have perfected my skills with technology in terms of programing CBORD, our meal service system, and building an interface between this system and electronic medical records (EPIC, McKesson, Insight, and Paragon). My other responsibilities include training, mentoring, and developing employees; implementing new meal service programs, creating patient menus, and coordinating sustainability initiatives for Nutrition Services across our district. My extensive experience in operations allows me to provide food service management support at each of our locations to our Nutrition Services Directors. Show less This position allowed me to work as the Clinical Nutrition Manager for the University Hospitals community locations (Richmond, Bedford, Geneva, Conneaut, and Geauga) in order to help coordinate activities and ensure compliance with clinical standards. In this role I mentored the community dietitians, conducted Joint Commission audits, conducted Gold Check audits, and mentored community hospital dietitians. While serving in this position I worked with each of the UH locations to develop a new patient menu and to program this into Food Management and Health Touch. I began the process of implementing a standardized centralized scheduling and insurance billing process at the community hospital locations. I planned the 2013 Sodexo Cleveland area Clinical Update. In addition, I served as the bariatric dietitian for the Geauga Medical Center by working with individual and group classes composed of pre-and post- surgery patients. I also provided both one-on-one and group cardiopulmonary classes. Show less This position has allowed me the opportunity to work with our care givers and management team to prepare for and implement the Expressly for You meal service system. This included programing Health Touch, training our caregivers how to use Health Touch to take meal orders, and developing job descriptions. I also worked with our management team to conduct FOSS (Focus on Service Spirit) training and reinforce desirable behaviors while decreasing the occurrence of undesirable behaviors. After implementing the program I have continued to work with caregivers to increase efficiencies and effectiveness. I audit to ensure compliance with department policies and standards. Additional duties include creating the employee schedule, evaluating employees, maintaining JC / food safety standards and cash handling. Show less
