  Parakram was a mental health initiative started by myself and 3 other students- Sruthi Visvanathan, Sunanda Guruprasad, and Anniksha Guru Prasad. The initiative aimed at creating a virtual community for people of all ages to share their stories and experiences. Along with spreading awareness about mental health we conducted self-care challenges online and encouraged people to embrace authenticity. Under Parakram, we started a podcast called HealTalk. On our podcast we spoke to people from all spheres of life- from therapists to teenagers! This initiative startedamidst the pandemic- in the summer of 2020- with the objective to make people feel more connected despite the isolated environment the pandemic brought with it. Show less

  Meraki Youth Organisation

  I was given the opportunity to head a team, that worked in collaboration with the Angel Xpress Foundation. Along with holding weekly classes for 30-35 students, I also curated dance content for their social media page. I began volunteering at Meraki, a youth organization that teaches studentsfrom lower financial backgrounds. I taught dance to kids of ages 7-13 remotely for schools inmy city, Bangalore.

  Marketing: As a part of the marketing team, I contributed heavily to building a creative, user friendly and SEO- optimised wireframe for the careers page on their website. Driven by an interest in filming and visual content creation, I constructed the storyboard and plan for a company video that would be executed after Covid restrictions are lifted.Human Resources: With the Human Resources team, I dealt with job sourcing and recruitment, managed and organized candidate sheets, handled data from job portals and performed several follow up and screening calls with candidates.Data science: Project Machine cover: After a few weeks of working, I was assigned a task to conduct a data research project. My task was to find an ideal proxy that would determine unlikely dips in business for Port of Miami Cruises. I was to roughly define a parametric index, to use parametric insurance as a method of risk prevention. I explored various data points (freight statistics, hotel occupancy etc.), and after several days of work located public sales tax (county wise, monthly) data that showed a high degree of correlation.
