  I was responsible for producing a glass/ carbon-fiber composite body for the HFS-04 racing team (HAN Formula Student racing team).   The thesis assignment focused on simulating fiber flow in Discontinuous-Long Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastics (D-LFT) for the process of compression molding. Moldex3D Studio (developed by CoreTech System. Co. Ltd.) was utilized as the simulation software.Key activities:• Assessing the the impact of processing parameters such as fiber length, concentration, type, and bulk molding compound temperature on the final fiber morphology.• Investigating the effects of varying simulation parameter values for the iARD-RPR model.Additional activities:• Assembling and testing an induction heating setup for flat plate fabrication.• Hand layup of uni-directional carbon fiber tapes. • Comparative analysis of fiber flow behaviour in injection and compression molded composites.
