      The Solar Decathlon is an international competition that takes place every two years. Students from all over the world come to build energy ef cient, self-sustained houses that are then put to the test for over 2 weeks and rated according to several criteria. In 2014, the event was at versailles, in France, and I had the chance to be part of the team organizing the event.My main responsibilities were:• Health, Safety, and the Environment (HSE): Insured that a team of 20 students were working safely while building their prototype house.• Site Operations manager: Coordinated with 21 interns to manage all moving trucks, cranes and other vehicles on a big construction site (37,000 m2).• Observer Coordinator: managed 5 of 20 teams (30 decathletes) during the competition phase. I was the link between the artistic committee and the citizens. I worked on the project called “Garonne” where contemporary artists have been invited to create a piece of art in relation with the river and the history of city.
