      Chemistry Laboratory Assistant

      While in this position, I helped set up laboratory experiments, supervised students performing the experiments, and graded the students based off of their performance and laboratory report form. I had the experience of handling a variety of chemicals and was taught how to correctly process them for student usage and disposal. I trained new employs on all aspects of the job. I kept laboratory equipment, instruments, and safety devices in clean, sterilized, and good working order.

      Cardinal Health Clinical Laboratory Science Scholarship Texas State CLS Program Apr 2022 Dr. Rodney E. Rohde was the selected award winner for the 2015 urEssential Award from Cardinal Health, Inc. Mrs. Jennifer Dawnson was selected as the 2017 urEssential Award. Dr. Rohde and Mrs. Dawson requested the funds be combined to benefit scholarship support to College of Health Professions’ Students in perpetuity by establishing an endowed scholarship. The Scholarship will honor Dr. Rohde’s and Mrs. Dawson’s significant contributions to the Clinical Laboratory Science field.
