  Member of NORDEM. Have been seconded to several international election observation missions with both the EU and the OSCE/ODIHR, serving as Long-Term (LTO) and Short-Term Observer (STO). As an observer, I assess whether the elections are in line with international standards for democratic elections and national legislation. I observe and report on the election process and the political environment before, during and after the elections. This includes whether civil and political rights were respected and the extent to which the process was free from intimidation. I write weekly reports, spot reports, and final reports to the EU/ European External Action Service, OSCE/ODIHR, and Norwegian MFA. As an LTO, I also prepare a local deployment plan for the STOs and manage their work. Show less
