      I was responsible for the day to day coordination of all repairs and critical works for private council buildings. I worked closely with the project manager, contractors and clients to ensure the full coordination and completion of all projects.

      I was managing a portfolio of 230 properties throughout Sydney, the Hunter region and Newcastle. Each of these properties was solely my responsibility to project manage and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance of all residential properties and commercial buildings. This comprised of inspection reports, managing maintenance issues, and having to structure various aspects of profit and loss statements for landlords. An integral part of day to day work was the serving of legal notices and terminations to tenants.Here I had to manage a wide variety of sub contractors on a daily basis, coordinating logistics, managing budgets and putting together competitive quotes for clients. I also prepared and delivered cases to the NSW Fair Trading tribunals, representing clients in local administrative courts. In order to do this I had to gather evidence and documentation to support the case. This at times was judged by the magistrate or alternatively, conciliation with the tenant was necessary. I also carried out regular maintenance reports and condition/inventory reports. My role here was a very highly pressured one where I had to maintain a high level of organisational and communication skills, having to advise and guide landlords, and maintain a high level of satisfaction for tenants.       I was the sole building manager of a 22 storey building in North Sydney, consisting of 195 residential apartments, and 4 commercial units. My day-to-day tasks included the management of all maintenance issues and tasks in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner. I was in charge of coordinating preventative and reactive contracted maintenance works and importantly, maintaining statutory and certification requirements including AFSS regulations, pool safety requirements, CO sensor monitoring and cooling tower/safe water protocols. This was all to be done and enforced while keeping within allocated budgets.I had to maintain and implement all WH&S standards, and risk management to ensure a safe and productive working environment for contractors and workers alike.Being a building only 18 months old, I had to manage all structural and building defects and warranty issues within the individual lots, and also all common areas, negotiating with builders, architects and residents on repairs in a timely fashion. A key responsibility of mine was to liaise and report to all internal & external stakeholders (including but not limited to executive committees, strata companies, etc) to solve any arising issues within the building and local community.       Whilst in London I had the opportunity to start a mobile coffee van business, I started the business from scratch by acquiring the van and stock. I was then responsible for business development in order to secure a permanent pitch to trade. It is now running as a very successful and lucrative business, which is why I decided to sell it on at this point in order to return to Australia.

      I am currently working as a Facilities Manager working for JLL, I am responsible for managing high-end buildings in Sydney. My role is to facilitate and manage the day-to-day running of the buildings, including the establishment and execution of maintenance contracts. A large part of my role is to ensure all compliance standards and preventative maintenance is adhered to, and building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
