  As the Functional Manger, I provided lead command representation for the entire Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program. I developed, coordinated and administered Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) policy, procedures and guidance for 850+ military and civilian technicians serving in the AF Test Center, AF Sustainment Center, AF Life Cycle Management Center and AF Nuclear Warfare Center, as well as the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory. All togather AFMC supports more than 304,000 Test, Measurement and Diagnostics Equipment (TMDE) items, or 42 percent of the Air Force inventory valued in excess of 1.2 billion dollars. Additionally, I assisted Air Force 2P Career Field Manager, and the AFMC A4 Chief Enlisted Manager as needed. Show less Managed the Air Force’s largest non-depot PMEL. Responsible for the readiness, training and morale of 79 military and 26 civilian personnel. Provided regional calibration support for 344 Department of Defense organizations spanning Northwest Florida, Mississippi and Alabama. Ensured accurate calibrations for over 23,600 TMDE items and over 19,300 maintenance actions annually. Maintained Air Force certification of the PMEL to sustain traceable measurements for United States Air Force, Army, Navy and Coast Guard missions, supporting six MAJCOMS, over 250 Air Force Research Laboratory projects, the international training fleet of F-35s and the 96th Test Wing’s fleet ofF-15, F-16, A-10, C-130, CV-22 and UH-1N test aircraft. Show less Served as the senior enlisted advisor to the Chief of the AETC Maintenance Division. As the MAJCOM PMEL functional manager, he oversaw over 200 personnel at 10 PMEL operations providing direct calibration support for over 52,000 pieces of test equipment. AETC PMELs support over 1,400 aircraft generating 580,000 flying hours annually. A voting member to the Air Force Metrology and Calibration Laboratory (AFMETCAL) Advisory Group and the Air Force Maintenance Chiefs’ Advisory Board. Coordinated with Air Staff, MAJCOMs and AFMETCAL on PMEL plans, policies, directives, deployments and sustainment. Show less Led teams to perform comprehensive evaluation/certification of all USAF, ANG and foreign military PMELs for the AFMETCAL Program. Provided technical and management staff assistance to 77 operational PMELs, 67 ANG Torque Calibration Sites and the AFPSL with assets in excess of $721 million. Ensured more than 712,000 TMDE items and USAF weapon systems were accurate and traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology or other DoD approved sources. Briefed/prepared comprehensive reports for senior leadership of USAF, Security Assistance Program, and contractor PMELs worldwide. Personally advised AFMETCAL Director on key policy issues. Show less Led the physical dimensional section (K5/6) of the Travis Air Force Base Type IIB Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL). Directed over 65% of the maintenance actions within the PMEL. Managed the Quality Assurance Section for 2 years before assuming the physical dimensional section supervisor role. As the Quality Manager I was responsible for the Quality Assurance Section and performed process reviews, working standard reviews and quality process reviews on everyone assigned across all measurement area disciplines.
