  September 2022-Winter 2023 I served as the secretary of the on-campus student organization The Society of Operations Management (SOM). As secretary, I maintained the attendance record and meeting summary, as well as helped to support in coordinating speakers. Winter 2023 - Present I have served as the president of SOM, where my primary roles are to communicate with business professionals in the field to come speak at our events, recruit for the eboard and establish rapport with members, support in ordering food and other materials for the group as well as reserving locations for meetings, and sending out email reminders to students and faculty in the School of Business Administration.   Lean and Quality Management Intern

  As an intern with the Pawley Lean Institute at OU, I worked with a peer as well as two mentors, including a faculty member and lean and quality consultant, in order to partner with a local non-profit Leader Dogs For The Blind. Through this partnership, we sought to reduce waste and improve efficiency in the operations behind what it takes to cultivate leader dogs to help the blind and visually impaired. I worked on-site and online to implement a rolling cart for daily use, assisted the veterinary clinic in transporting dogs more smoothly to-and-from their cages, and set up a written communication system for trainers. We then presented our findings to a board of Oakland faculty/staff, as well as Leader Dogs representatives. Show less
