      School of Computing and Information TechnologyI joined Unitec Institute of Technology in August 2015 as a Visiting Professor from Aguascalientes State University Mexico. I am part of the Computing and IT School where I am a Senior Lecturer and a researcher on the fields of Internet of Things, Cloud Computing and Wireless Sensor Networks.I've been course leader of several courses including: ISCG 8052 The Internet of Things, ISCG 6426 Data Structures and Algorithms, ISCG 8049 Data Warehouse Architecture, ISCG7444 Cloud Application Design and Development where we use IBM Cloud Systems, and ISCG7427 Agile and Lean Software Delivery course where I am an ICAgile Certified Instructor, among other courses.I have been actively engaged in several additional projects:- Mac Lab: A workshop designed together with the Design Department, where students design, code, and digitally market an iOS app.- Mobile Robotics Fundamentals: Students get engaged to Robotics learning to use and code Raspberry Pi, GoPiGo Pi mobile robots and Pi Sense Hat boards.- Healthy air, healthy children: A portable air quality and weather station was designed for students get aware of the importance of living in a healthy environment.I am also involved in Research Projects such as:- Smart Homes for people with Supported needs,- Routing on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN),- Test Driven Development (TDD) of Cloud Systems,- Local Positioning Systems (LPS), and- Mobile Robotics Show less

Nicola Holden, Emma Skellern, Maru Nihoniho, Brad Stillwell and I co-founded our start-up.We were one of 10 teams chosen out of hundreds to participate in the C-Prize 2017 - a tech accelerator programme supported by Callaghan Innovation.
