We had several dealerships, and I served my time as a mechanic working with Landover; Rover; Peugeot; Vauxhall and Audi/VW so I had a wide range of vehicle experience. • Qualified City and Guilds and NVQ levels 1; 2 and 3.

  • My role was responsible for the recruitment and training of new plant & equipment inspectors. I ensured everybody was trained to the standard that Iron Planet required. I drafted and maintained all the training materials and updated the inspection reports as necessary. I created new template inspection sheets for all new items that we consigned and generally kept an eye on the day to day progress of the upcoming auction. • I reviewed all the incoming inspector reports for detail and quality in advance of uploading live on the website.• Customer focused, I would meet and greet customers and explain the process and how they could best gain value from our system. • I gained some valuable IT experience as the company moved from away internal server data storage to cloud storage and live uploading of auction data.   • My initial role was the customer service advisor in the service department. I was responsible for the BMW; Mini; Citroen and Hyundai brands. My role was to take bookings and see each customer in and out through their service experience. I had to upsell any additional work that maybe required while the vehicle is in. I was also responsible for checking all vehicles for recalls and implementing the works. I stayed with each customer and vehicle until works were completed, invoices raised and closed off. I also had to meet targets and maintain a good customer satisfaction standard and liaise with insurance companies in order to agree costs on repairs to damaged vehicles. Show less

I managed the staff recruitment, local marketing, and brand establishment in its entirety. My role also included the general management activities such as HRM, H&S, Quality Control, and monthly financial reporting.
