  Areas of expertise: as a Civil Engineer for the client, he worked in the construction of Belo Monte Hydroelectric Power Plant, as the Geotechnical engineer, participating in the design and construction of the 33 Dams and the largest Derivation Canal of Brazil with approximately 16 km long, in addition to overseeing the performance of these structures, as the Safety Dam Coordinator.GEOTECHNICS AND ARRANGEMENTS• Basic Project: in the inspection of the Basic Project and in the conception of the plant arrangement, I’ve worked in the definitions of dams and dikes, in the studies of the Canal of Derivation for implantation and doing optimization studies with 3D modeling, seeking to reduce the volumes;• Executive Project: along with the Board of Norte Energia (Eng. Nelson Pinto, Eng. Paulo Cruz, Eng. Joaquim Pimenta de Ávila, Eng. Walton Pacelli), I’ve participated in the discussions on the deployment and optimization of structures and supervision of Executive Project;• As Built Project: In the coordination and oversight of the As Built teams;• Resident Geotechnical Engineer: Inspecting the geological investigation and liberation of various foundations of all structures, especially the foundations in Graben (complex foundation in sandstone, where three large dams were supported); • Technological Control / Quality: inspecting the quality of the dams' embankments through compaction tests and inspection trenches;• Dams Safety: As a Coordinator of Dam Safety, I’ve accompanied the implementation of the Dam Safety Plan. During the filling of the reservoirs, I’ve monitored the performance of the structures through instrumentation and field visual inspections, as well as supervising the various interventions necessary to guarantee the safety factor and stability of the dams and other structures.
