I then used that research to help the department create a presentation to be shown to local businesses.I completed extensive legal writing including memorandums and drafting and answering deposition questions. In order to help the department to be better organized in regards to their case materials, I wrote memos describing the characters chronology and facts of particular cases. I am currently project manager on a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) project with the FDA CDRH clearing a backlog of 1.5 million pages.I manage a team of 34 plus reviewers. I created a workflow with 15 steps to illustrate the FOIA review process from cradle to grave. I devised training materials and trained my reviewers on 510k medical device documents from the FDA CDRH division. This review focuses on the FOIA exemptions b4, b5 and b6.I oversee the document upload phase, from pulling documents from the client’s drives to uploading them to Relativity, to checking and correcting ingestion errors.I draft client reports that quantify reviewer metrics, contract progress, expectations and issues. Show less My past projects with Deloitte include a supervisor role on another FOIA project with the Citizenship and Immigration Services under the Department of Homeland Security. We cleared a backlog of 40,000 cases. I oversaw the work product of 8 reviewers. My tasks also involved the review of sensitive government documents for personally identifiable information (in accordance with the b6 exemption), law enforcement officers and information (in accordance with the b7c and e exemptions), attorney client privilege and other sensitive information (in accordance with the b5 exemption). Due to the types of documents that I reviewed, I possess an expanded knowledge of numerous immigration policies and procedures with the State Department, USCIS, ICE and Customs and Border Patrol. Because of innovative data compilation and record keeping I created a tracking method to report on downtime with the client's reviewing tool. Due to this tool we were able to add an additional 5 weeks to the contract and thus saved hundreds of thousands of dollars. Show less
