I had previously worked at Bateman as an Accounting Clerk while finishing my Bachelor of Commerce degree. I was fortunate to be sent on numerous Oracle University Training Courses. Responsibilities included articulating requirements, delivering change management related communications to internal stakeholders, participating in User Acceptance Testing, delivering training, configuring the production environment from the system implementer's setup documents, rolling out the solution to multiple divisions, and providing post-production support. During this tenure I realized that I needed to improve my IT skills and successfully completed CompTIA’s A+ certification and completed a Diploma in Datametrics (related to IT and programming).   I joined IOCORE as an Oracle Functional Consultant. I became a Financials Team Leader during this tenure and worked at several clients in the Telco vertical (including Vodacom, MTN and Cell C). I became acquainted with Oracle’s AIM implementation methodology and used its artefacts during implementations. I also became familiar with Oracle’s accelerated implementation methodologies including “Fast Forward” and “Special Edition”.

Responsibilities included: managing the Oracle consultants while reporting to the Director (who was responsible for the Oracle Practice) and being involved in the sales cycle. I was also involved in Oracle Team Lead roles at several tertiary institutions including, Wits University and University of Port Elizabeth (now called Nelson Mandela University).   I joined iFactory Consulting, about a year after it was founded. I was appointed as a director about a year into the tenure. The continuum of responsibilities was very broad, ranging from executive leadership to involvement in the sales cycle, to involvement in the hiring of employees, a to a variety of delivery roles at clients. I headed up a team that was developing an internal implementation methodology “The iFactory Way”. I also led the internal team focused on Oracle’s rapid implementation methodology, “Accelerate”. My client delivery roles during this time included managing iFactory’s Oracle E-Business Support Teams at Wesbank and at the University of Johannesburg, Solution Architect Roles at Assore (Mining) and REDISA (Recycling), Project Manager Roles at Telesure (Insurance), AA Autobay (Insurance), Regent Insurance, Prasa (Railways), Metro Rail, University of Johannesburg, Rand Merchant Bank, First Rand Group. During this time, I was a Committee Member of the Oracle Architects Club, I delivered presentations at the Oracle Architects Club and at an Oracle User Group Special Interest Group event. I twice attended Oracle Open World in San Francisco and attended Oracle Cloud World in Dubai. I once again had the opportunity of delivering E-Business Suite Training courses at Oracle University. I continued to invest in my skills development while at iFactory and completed my second degree, a Bachelor of Computer Science. I successfully completed an Advanced Diploma in Project Management, the TOGAF 9 certification, and became an Oracle Certified Professional in E-Business Suite Financials. I joined Toastmasters completing their Competent Communicator and Advanced Communicator Bronze levels. I became familiar with, and used, Oracle’s Unified Methodology (OUM). I also successfully completed the OUM Level 5 Certification. iFactory grew and became a leading Oracle Partner in South Africa before being acquired by Dimension Data / NTT in 2015. Show less

  In 2015 I founded Caleb Systems which is focused on Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. Although my internal business responsibilities include the typical facets of a small business, most of what I do is associated with the delivery of consulting services related to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. Since 2015 I have delivered Oracle Fusion Cloud services (including: Solution Architecture, Team Lead, Implementation Consultant, Support, Change Management and Training roles) across numerous Oracle Cloud Modules (including: Financials, Advanced Procurement, Human Capital Management and Talent Management) at 10, or more, Oracle clients.
