      Test Lead

      1. Establishing and implementing testing environment : o The organization had only developers when I joined. o I set up the testing environment, the testing and certifying process for the apps developedo I established a Risk Based Testing methodology for testing critical features/ functions before the launch of apps.2. Establishing Agile Process, TDDo I introduced the Agile process in the organization which is now one of the key USPs of this organizationo I implemented TDD by splitting the requirements into realizable user stories and further user stories into independent taskso I, being a tester created test plans, test cases for the independent features / functionalities and ensures the development meets the same3. Making the organization distributedo Since I had to move to Netherlands in June 2012, I initiated the process of Distributed Agile and implemented the same effectively with the help of following tools. Story board – Using JIRA Stand ups / Retrospection / Sprint Planning & Grooming – Using Skypeo Being an agile organization we track the defects / requirements with minimal documentation using JIRA itselfo Drop box – For real time documents/applications transfer3. Defect Managemento Being part of an Agile team, most of the times the defects will be addressed immediately in the sprint itself along with the development of user stories.o Production defects / leaked defects will be prioritized using following two vectors Scope of the defect – Assign points in the scale of 1 - 4 Severity of the defect - Assign points in the scale of 1 - 4 Defect Weight – Arrived by multiplying the Scope and Severity points Based on the ‘Defect Weight’ the priority is arrived and is planned4. Customer Relationso Being an app developing organization, I ensured all our customers are well informed and addressed all their issues in right time. Show less

      Test Engineer

In my current assignments where I performed the role of Software Test Engineer for testing mobile Apps targeted for iOS and Android phones, I implemented a test strategy that covers more than the functional testing of the app. Following are the areas I covered as part of the app testing.a. Cohabitation of the App – Ensured the app is working fine with the different combination of hardware systems (like the bridge that is used in Connected Lamps) and WiFi routers.b. Geofencing of the App – Ensuring the app is able to be part of home automation in the vicinity of the home’s geo locationc. The stability of the app – Done by installing the app in a device that has only the less processing power, less memory for processing. d. The memory footprint of the app – Apart from the transactional data the app should not occupy more run time memory of the device and there should not be any memory leakse. The performance of the app – The opening, closing and the navigation between screens of the app should not take more time and the app should not hang.f. Stress testing the app – Creating huge volume of transactional data and ensure how the app responds in the peak data volume Show less
