I spent two weeks assisting a Senior Lecturer in Law, Dr Gavin Sullivan, on a book that he was writing, entitled ‘The Law of the List: UN Counterterrorism Sanctions and the Politics of Global Security Law’. This involved liaising with the professor and conducting extensive amounts of research autonomously, and then condensing and summarising the research for the Professor to read. This experience culminated in presenting my research to a group of university academics. In my final year of university, I had the privilege of being able to mentor first year students from Kent Law School.
