  This was my first co-op rotation with the Room Air Conditioning(RAC) department at Midea America Research Center(MARC). I worked on several mechanical and basic electrical projects to research and develop new RAC products.

  Mechanical Engineering Co-Op(RAC)

  This was my second co-op rotation with the Room Air Conditioning department at Midea America Research Center(MARC). My main semester long project was to redesign one of Midea window air conditioners for a different application. This involved a great amount of CAD in SolidWorks to develop the product using the iterative design process. I also worked on an electrical system to take data from sensors and log it on the cloud in Google Sheets.

  Mechanical Engineering Co-op(REF)

  This was my third and final co-op rotation with Midea America Research Center. I had the opportunity to iteratively design and prototype a unique shelf concept for Midea’s refrigerators. I also got to develop and prototype an original idea relating to a refrigerator’s water dispenser. Finally, I served as the co-op “Prototype Master”, which involved troubleshooting and repairing several small FDM 3D printers. I also implemented several procedures and systems to improve the quality and ease of 3D printing parts. Show less

  Junior Engineer: Clothes Washer

  • Responsible for the North American washing machine & dryer Research and Development projects, including mechanical component and structural design, feature development, collaborate on maintaining technical product plan road map, and establish plan of actions and milestone tracking of projects;• Will complete design and development of new product appearance parts and functional parts as required;• Responsible for the structural design and improvement of related parts of the product;• Research the field of mechanical technology, responsible for organizing technical research on key core technologies focusing on structural design and mechanical transmission;• Participate in research on related innovation projects and innovation methods;• Work closely with the North American R&D team and the Chinese domestic R&D team;• Actively participate in technical project review and innovation.• Cross-functional cooperation with various internal and external engineering teams to jointly carry out project work.• Implement projects and special tasks as needed.
