  Has provided counsel relevant to projects across the entire EU and EEA as well as relating to markets in and/or from Turkey, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, the US and Singapore. From start-up to existing ventures with investment ranges from small to very large. Key, as keen listener, is goal understanding and formulation. Thereafter he clarifies and defines: legal and commercial (existing and potential) issues; threats to proposed or existing ventures; opportunity identification, protection and strategies; and strategy implementation with monitoring and review. His recognised advocacy and trial experience and skills in conflicts, litigation and other fora assist to avoid such costly disruptions as well as other forms of dispute resolution. Prior to his 1999 award of Masters of European and International Business Law (Leiden, The Netherlands) and his subsequent 2001 admission in as a Solicitor (“Solicitor-Advocate All Higher Courts”) of England and Wales, in 1991 he was admitted to the Queensland and Australian Bars where he practiced solely and privately, mainly in commercial, corporate, Intellectual Property, Administrative and Media law appearing in all Australian Commonwealth Courts and in all Queensland Courts including most of its tribunals. He was already awarded a B.Com. and a Ll.B. from the University of Queensland. In 2013 he was admitted to the Brussels Bar ("E-liste") and is now Brexit immune as an Avocat ("A-list", as Maître) of that same Bar ((being a transferal on 19 June 2019 from “E-liste” for European Community lawyers inscription of 2013) with seniority from 1 May 2001). He was a principal urger achieving amendments to the longstanding (1893) nationality laws of The Netherlands. Show less
