      2007 - 2010
Doctor of Philosophy - PhD Mechanical Engineering (biomechanics core)

Performed research on the exciting topic of cell migration, focusing on elucidation of how mechanical forces in the actin cytoskeleton regulate cell migration. Succeeded in mapping strain fields in freely locomoting fish keratocytes using a combination of fluorescence speckle microscopy (FSM) and particle imaging velocimetry applied on time-lapse high resolution microscopic images.
