  During the work placement, I worked under the supervision of one of the partner’s in the firm. I was allocated to do various tasks ranging from legal research, compiling bundles to compiling case summaries. I worked on legal matters arising in housing law to unlawful detention of an immigrant and challenging diplomatic immunity. The varied practice area helped me understand how all different areas of law interact and impact each other. I also accompanied the partner to a hearing in the Supreme Court. This gave me further insight into enhancing my advocacy skills and on how to prepare complex legal arguments. Show less
