      Gunited is a national volunteer programme in Kenya and as a Volunteer Graduate Assistant(VGA) with Gunited for 6 months in which I was posted to Kiambu County, I had a lot of great experiences. My main role was to work to improve the literacy levels of struggling learners at Karunga primary school, Kiambu. I assisted over 50 children to become better readers and in general better learners. Volunteer work has taught me to be more of a giver in life, work to serve others and to be of assistance to the ones who look upon you. I have become a better leader and more organized. This experience has enabled me to also grow in my profession because it has taught me how to visualize, plan and execute effectively my goals.
