  I have been involved within the University of Liverpool Law Clinic since the 1st year of my degree and continue to be an active member. Such a role entails holding pro-bono triage appointments, attending client interviews, aiding clients within the family courts and drafting statements/ C100 applications. Experiencing real-life cases and issues within the courts introduced me to the workings of the legal profession and to observe, meet and work with practicing lawyers that are involved in the public interest.   After winning the bar society’s annual mooting competition in my second year of my law degree, I wanted to develop my advocacy skills further. As mistress of moots, I am responsible for organising and running the mooting competition of 2022-23. In this role, I judge competitors, providing them with feedback for improvement in order to help students develop their advocacy skills!
