      The division of Cardiology is a subspecialty of the Department of Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. The educational program provides training and experience in the evaluation and management of a wide variety of patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. Such patient conditions include chronic coronary heart disease, advanced congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, acute myocardial infarction and other acute ischemic syndromes, lipid disorders, hypertension, cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease, pulmonary heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, infections and inflammatory heart disease and adult congenital heart disease. Clinical rotations at Baylor Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital include interventional cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology, heart failure, cardiac rehabilitation, lipidology, noninvasive cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and vascular medicine.
