    • Washington University in St. Louis

      Aug 2013 - May 2016

I showed current students and the surrounding community, including field trips from local schools, the stars. Independently studied the phases of Venus and relative positions of Jupiter’s Galilean satellites over a month and analyzed the data to determine the relative periods of the aforementioned celestial bodies. Performed rudimentary statistics on various physics experimentsHelped pitch, design, create, write, and analyze eight new labs for the introductory physics courses.Communicated ideas to professors and other PhD holders.

      Data Analyst Intern

Worked with and incorporated big data computer software, Apache Hadoop and Kylin as well as MongoDB, into Lumate's basic structureWrote algorithms in Python to clean and prepare large data sets for analysisUsed ANOVA, multiple comparisons, as well as OLS modeling and time series analysis in R to search for, and understand, trends in the data to optimize Lumate’s production strategy

    • Prattle

      May 2015 - Jun 2016

Engineered financial backtesting models formulated from time series analyses of maximum likelihood linear modeling in R to see how knowledge of different data manipulates the returns of a portfolioResearched how Prattle’s product influences stock analyses and price forecast models. Created and presented a formal presentation of my findings at the end of the summer for the CTO.Hired on part-time in the fall of 2015 to help develop a data analytics platform while finishing my degree before continuing my work fulltime in January of 2016. • McMaster-Carr

      Jun 2016 - Feb 2018
      Software Developer

I create systems, based off of insights from big data, to provide a better customer experience. Currently, I develop and implement software that dynamically creates landing pages and spec searches on our website by analyzing relevant data and incorporating the results into various machine learning models. Web application development and large data analyses make up most of my current work in .Net, C#, Python, and R.

    • Texas Rangers Baseball Club

      Feb 2018 - Aug 2024

Designing a modern data strategy to scale with team growth and enhance data analytics efficiency. Leading a team to established a cloud-based data-driven ecosystem with robust ML Ops, democratized data assets, and live streaming AI insights. Embracing Big Data as an opportunity, not a hurdle. I provide innovative and game-changing concepts by building and deploying advanced mathematical and machine learning models, performing controlled research, and investigating new baseball technologies within Baseball Operations. I help create and enhance existing baseball systems using a full stack Microsoft ASP.NET web framework comprising of SQL Server, C#, and Javascript/CSS/HTML. This web application handles and communicates insights from the recent influx of Big Data provided by various baseball data providers, including but not limited to, Statcast, Trackman, and Brooks Baseball. Analytics and investigation into the insights this data can provide are done in R and Python, with many visuals created in Tableau.
