I completed my Masters research under the supervision of Dr Jamin Halberstadt in the Social Cognition lab at the University of Otago. Using data from the Dunedin Multidisciplinary Health and Development Study, my research looked at the relationship between trauma and religion. My thesis explored the possibility that people become more religious following traumatic events that involve death as an anxiety coping mechanism.
