  MARFOREUR/AF(U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa)As a logistics planner I planned and organized logistics requirements for the support of military to military (Mil to Mil) exercises, equipment support, funding, maintenance, sustenance, and headquarters support for exercises. My experience includes:- Equipment readiness and distribution in Norway.- Crossleveling of equipment from the black bottom ship Kocak in support of the Marine Corps Pre-positioning Program Norway (MCPPN)- Organized a 3 day logistics seminar encompassing military personnel from 13 European countries. - Managed a multi-million dollar account for funding seminars, conferences, and mil to mil exercises. - Prepared CLASSIFIED and SECRET powerpoint briefs for Mil to Mil exercises - Traveled to Africa and Europe to provide leadership and support for partnerships and engagements between the U.S. Marine Corps and foreign military. - Traveled to various military installations to retrieve SECRET and confidential material. Show less As an Aide de Camp for a Marine Brigadier General who was the deputy commander for Marine Forces Europe and Africa I was responsible for a plethora of duties ranging in complexity but vital to the headquarters and unit. My responsibilities included executive assistant functions, and reviewing correspondence on the CLASSIFIED and SECRET level. I coordinated protocol activities for the front office of MFE/MFA during an important merger of 2 staff COCOM's. I maintained the Deputy's handheld classified devices, classified binders, and personal information. I was cleared and designated a classified courier for the front office an opportunity afforded few Marines. I planned and organized the Deputy Commander's daily schedule to include, classified briefings, trip management, vehicle support, VIP visits. I planned and executed more than a dozen trips with the Deputy spanning 2 continents, ranging from diplomatic visits, to Marine Corps Birthday Ball. Additionally, I functioned as a diplomat in the absence of the Deputy Commander. Show less I commanded 2nd Landing Support Platoon, 4th landing Support Battalion, 4th MLG and deployed to both Iraq, and Afghanistan in support of OIF and OEF. Under my watch the platoon consisting at times over 200 Marines was the highest deploying unit in the battalion. My duties included: - Supervising the control of transportation, maintenance, and combat equipment through beaches, landing zones, air and sea terminals, and rail heads. - I supervised the tracking of critical equipment both in North Carolina and in support of the African Lion 10 exercise in Morocco. - While deployed to Afganistan I supervised 9 Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (ACDACG) positions in 2 provinces. - Additionally while a Battalion S-4 Officer I planned and executed a strategic mobility plan for 2nd Supply Battalion from Helmand Province to Cherry Point North Carolina in accordance with the Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD).   My Masters concentration is North African and Middle Eastern Studies (NAMES)My studies have all includes various facets of North African and Middle Eastern Culture including religion, suffism, politics, economics, gender studies, geopolitics, Moroccan cultural heritage, Berber history, Arabic (MSA) and Derija. I chose to complete my Masters at a university in Morocco to learn more about a region of the world I have worked in and conducted missions in from a new and academic perspective. Show less
