Previously, it had been shown that Transforming Growth Factor (TGF)-β3 signaling plays a crucial role in palatogenesis and regulated various cellular functions through the orchestration of its downstream molecules. Our results showed that TGFβ3 induced the highest level of mesenchymal cell proliferation and palatal shelf growth through expression of cell-cycle regulatory proteins. At my bioinformatics studies, we systematically analyzed the global transcriptomal changes in the developing palate using RNA-Seq and identified the key molecular components during crucial stages of palatogenesis. Overall, the results of our studies were published in four articles in distinguished journals and presented at prestigious conferences. Show less
