Scenario #1: “Waterfall Project” The objective of this project was to project manage the planning and construction of a gymnasium for the Olympic Games and a hotel for the Olympic site. This required an understanding of the project scope and constraints, in order to effectively communicate with stakeholders, plus identify and manage risks and issues. Developing a project plan and prioritising tasks was also an essential part of the project, to ensure important tasks were delivered in line with project needs and the timeline. The project budget and resources were assessed and reviewed to find risks and opportunities. Project information was summarized in clear project reporting, to provide visibility of project status and any items requiring escalation. Project files are available upon request. There was also the need to understand roles in an agile environment and how the project manager should interact and communicate with all stakeholders. The project required practical application of backlog management, prioritisation, sprint planning, risk and issue identification and project status reporting, including escalating items that require support. Project files are available upon request. Show less
