  As a researcher in photocatalytic oxidation using TiO₂ (titanium dioxide), my work focuses on leveraging the unique properties of TiO₂ as a catalyst activated by UV light to degrade indoor pollutants. This involves studying the mechanisms by which TiO₂ facilitates the oxidation process, designing and synthesizing TiO₂-based materials with enhanced photocatalytic efficiency, and optimizing reaction conditions for maximum pollutant degradation in air purifiers. The research aims to develop effective methods to assess indoor air contamination using air purification technology which does not use HEPA filters and help in contributing to environmental sustainability and the advancement of green technologies. This field combines principles of chemistry, microbiology , and environmental engineering to create sustainable solutions for air purification. Show less
