I have worked across various industries, however my core focus industries have been in the Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining and Telecom sector. My experience has enabled me to understand what a buyer or seller would expect from a transaction and the key areas of concern / contention that could potentially delay the deal process or lead to value erosion for either side.I have worked on over 5 projects with multiple Gulf based Sovereign Wealth Funds, if which two transactions have been completed and announced: (i) Mubadala's 50% acquisition of a USD1.5bn Spanish base metals (copper, lead and zinc) mining company - MATSA (a Trafigura entity); and (ii) Qatar Holding's acquisition of a USD6bn electricity generation and distribution company in Hong Kong - HK Electric.To encapsulate, EY TAS has enabled me to learn, develop and hone the following particular skills: financial due diligence, analysis of financial information, analysis of complex financial forecasting models, completion accounts review, review of legal contracts from a financial standpoint and client management.
