Highlights include:- Developed strategic initiative to increase 2-year immunization rates using Assessment, Feedback, Incentive and Exchange (AFIX) program and increased immunization rates by 12%.- Directed overall clinical operations, staffing and vaccine supply during COVID-19 pandemic; worked with state and community partners to support vaccination efforts in community and giving over 10,000 COVID-19 vaccines. - Designed and implemented Care Management activities into primary care to meet health complexity needs of patients and families (i.e., RN Care Coordinators and Community Health Workers).- Central Oregon Health Council (COHC) Operations Member – Provided strategies and made recommendations to the COHC Board to promote and facilitate accessible, affordable, quality health services, including behavioral, oral and physical health. - Designed and implemented Behavioral Health service line, integrating behavioral health clinicians (BHCs) into primary care. Served as Steering Committee Executive and clinical informatics “Super-User” ensuring safeguards for workflow changes. Represented organization on state and national Pediatric User Groups to improve interoperability and functionality. - Expanded Outreach Visiting Physician program to bring 15 Pediatric Specialists into the Central Oregon region.- Implemented new Patient Advocate role/program, which increased newborn preventative care visit compliance and provided more support to ADHD patients and their families. Highlights include, but not limited to:- Created and expanded the “RN Advice” department, enabling COPA to capture more patient/family calls, reduce wait times, and decrease community emergency department utilization.- Improved accuracy of State Immunization Registry by creating process to submit organization's HL7 vaccine administration records each week and working with State and EHR vendor to create a real-time bi-directional interface and query response system. For this work, received the 2013 Immunize Oregon Award for Individual Immunization Leadership.- Developed and met strategic plan to transition Certified Medical Assistants into organization while maintaining quality patient care. Plan reduced average clinical cost per hour, increased the clinical support hours available to physicians, and elevated RNs to their professional scope in ambulatory care setting. Show less
