  For the majority of my teaching career I worked with Junior High age students, except for 8 years spent in elementary classrooms teaching grade 4 and later grade 2. I fondly remember my students and colleagues, and cherish the friendships formed over these many years. I was always very active in the greater educational community and found that I always learned as much as my students throughout the school year.

  Board Member

  As a Board Member of the ASEBP I had fudiciary responsiblities. I participated in benefit provision revision and drafting as well as in premium structuring. For a period of time I chaired the Long Term Disability Appeal Committee. This benefit plan is a non-profit, jointly-sponsored plan, governed by both employer and employee representatives. I found the time I devoted to this work to be interesting and rewarding.

  District Representative South West

  I represented the Westwind, Lethbridge Public, Holy Spirit, Palliser, Horizon and Livingstone Range ATA Locals on the ATA Provincial Executive Council. Through this work I travelled extensively throughout the province, and had the opportunity to meet many influential community leaders. I am always pleased when the opportunity arises to reconnect with these many past acquaintances.
