Show less Responsible for deepwater and ultra-deepwater well cementing planning and execution for Petrobras. During this assignment I was located within Petrobras offices, in charge of the Exploratory Sector, where the most challenging wells are drilled and cemented. During this assignment I gather more experience and extended my technical knowledge on cementing and well construction, both for post and pre-salt wells. I also had the opportunity hold several Technology Presentations to the client, as listed below:- Managed Pressure Cementing- Flexible cement systems for wells exposed to great pressure/temperature variations- Loss circulation materials- Hole cleaning and conditioning optimization for cementing operationsIn addition I participated on projects to optimize the cement jobs on the pre-salt reservoirs, including a new concept adopted by Petrobras where the pre-salt wells are drilled in only 3 sections and reservoir is cemented at the same time as the salt formations.Was in charge of the cementing designs for the Brazilian water depth record breaker at the time (2912 meters) and have also been exposed to diverse other scenários such as deepwater two stage cementing, contingency liner cementing, challenging kick-off plugs and so on. Show less This position brought some good challenges due to different business nature and customers with different nationalities and cultures. My main clients were Noble Energy, AGR and GeoGlobal Resources.In addition, the technical complexity of the work has increased, given that all wells drilled were deepwater, with massive salt structures and gas zones.Due to the small size of the industry on the location, the relationship with the customers was of high importance and fundamental for the success of the business and upcoming work.This assignment has been very good to reinforce my technical knowledge and to prepare me to my next position as Field Service Manager. Both projects were remote and deepwater, with high complexity and visibility levels. Main tasks:- Plan, prepare, execute and evaluate all cement jobs for the assigned clients/drilling rigs.- HSE and Q risk assessment for all the operations to be performed.- Direct sales representative of products and services.- Coordinate different functions within the company to deliver the client requests and to achieve internal objectives. Constant communication with Supply Chain, Maintenance, Finance, Sales & Marketing, HSE and Logistics.- Managing offshore personnel team onboard the drilling rigs assigned.- Produce complete Well Cementing Basis of Design, Cementing End of Well Reports, cost estimates and further related paperwork.- Ensure compliance to UK Chemical regulations (CEFAS) and other environmental regulations.- Generation of procedures to run downhole cementing tools.- Managing personnel and daily logistics- Keep close contact and build up relationship with drilling engineers, drilling superintendents and customer in general.Extra assignments:- Participation on Loss Prevention Team, with focus in reducing the HSE events on the District (onshore and offshore)- Chairman of the Quality Steering Committee, with focus in improving the cementing service quality delivered in all the rig in which Schlumberger Cementing operates in the UK.
