I had direct responsibility for aligning the company’s product strategy to the market, with a constant eye on profitability. It was also my responsibility to ensure that product development resources were properly allocated based on market priorities. I served on the key leadership team within the organization and was the primary driver within this highly successful and well-regarded organization. My group drove the optimum competitive mix of products, and we worked very closely with the engineering team to execute the product planning process. Success in this capacity was judged, ultimately, by the success and competitiveness of Elantec’s products, as well as their profitability.
