  As a research assistant at the University of Manitoba, I investigated the unstable flow behavior problem for supercritical flow systems like supercritical water reactor, rocket engines etc. I also assisted and trained new research assistant on various research assignments.Highlights:• Performed experiments to find the flow conditions where unstable flow behavior occurs in supercritical pipe flow - Performed experiments and validated numerical code within 5% error in order to reduce the dependency on experiments.• Troubleshoot and found root cause analysis for the unsuccessful experiments.• Calibrated and maintained the lab equipment’s in proper working conditions. Tested the working of flow meters, thermocouples, heat-exchanger, rectifier and pressure-drop transducers.• Created schematic diagram of experimental loop using CAD software. Used LabVIEW software for recording data and monitoring the safe working of experimental setup.• Implemented the excel tools to analyze the recorded data in order to obtain the unstable flow boundary.• Applied fluid mechanics and thermodynamics principles for calculation of pressure drop, heating power, and heat losses in the channels.• Developed and provided accurate methodology to calculate overall experimental uncertainty by applying uncertainty principles.• Tested the accuracy of dimensionaless parameters proposed by Ambrosini & Sharabi for scaling purposes.• Escalated the research issues to supervisor and assisted in solving research problems. Helped in building research strategies, planning and task prioritizing.• Worked with the team of researchers on various research assignments.
