  The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency’s role is to provide Canadians with high-quality federal environmental assessments that contribute to informed decision making in support of sustainable development. The Agency leads the federal review process for most major development projects and coordinates the Government of Canada's Aboriginal consultation activities during the environmental assessment process. My role, while working with the Agency, included:- Establishing and leading multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers and Aboriginal consultation advisers in conducting federal and multi-jurisdictional environmental assessments of mines, energy and infrastructure projects.- Managing and delivery of public consultation and community outreach activities for federal environmental assessments of major resource developments in BC - Representing the Government of Canada as federal Crown Consultation Coordinator for Aboriginal consultation activities for environmental assessments of major resource projects Pokaż mniej

  The Port of Prince Rupert is North America’s fastest growing Port for transpacific trade. The Port's mandate is to support Canada’s trade activity by facilitating and expanding the movement of cargo and passengers. To achieve this goal, PRPA administers a large geographic area that includes approximately 1000 hectares of federal crown land for terminal-related development, as well as an associated harbour and coastline. My role during this exciting period of growth and tremendous opportunity, for the Port, British Columbia and Canada, includes directing the planning, assessment and permitting for the development of major marine terminals and supporting infrastructure and leading public and First Nations consultation and engagement activities in support of Port developments.
