  In 2021, I was brought in to establish a new Policy Group in the Office of Renewable Energy Programs. The new unit's primary responsibilities will include promoting consistency in decision-making; maintaining a detailed understanding of the regulations; being involved in a broad cross-section of discussions on the program; bringing historical perspective to new questions; assisting regional offices in accessing the experience and practices developed by the program; and taking lead on cross-cutting issues like the development of guidance documents, standard operating procedures, and regulations. I am responsibility over hiring, budget, and its integration into the office's decisionmaking and office culture. Show less As Chief of the Leasing Policy and Management Division at the Office of Strategic Resources of BOEM, I oversee two Branches: the National Program Development Branch, which is responsible for creating the five year schedule of oil and gas lease sales required by the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, and the Sales and Coordination Branch, which works with other BOEM offices and regions to produce the documentation supporting oil and gas lease sales on the Outer Continental Shelf. The Leasing Division has a staff of fourteen and a budget of about three million dollars a year. Show less
