      Summer Research Associate

During a self-organised summer internship, I played a critical role in a new mathematical theory for modelling supra-glacial streams, i.e. streams that form on the top of glaciers. I was responsible developing the theoretical model through analytical equations, which was compared with experimental data and published in the Journal of Geophysical Research. I organised all aspects of the trip and arranged for all of the funding.

      Aug 2018 - Sept 2018
IPC Software Consultant for Nikon Metrology XCT systems

In this role, I provided consultancy services to industrial clients on programming Nikon XCT systems using IPC programming protocols. This involved in-depth analysis of clients' code to diagnose failure points and identify remedial actions, alongside developing new software solutions.

      Feb 2019 - now

I work in the Henry Moseley X-ray Imaging Facility at the University of Manchester to develop x-ray computed tomography (XCT) solutions for a range of different industrial applications. Within this role, I am directly responsible for developing hardware, software and image analysis combinations to meet the needs of the application. I have worked on applications relating to the pharmaceutical, petroleum and aerospace industries, in collaboration with companies such as Carl Zeiss Microscopy, Nikon Metrology, BP, Astra Zeneca, 3M, Glaxo Smith Kline, and Malvern Panalytical. I am lucky to work in a world-renowed facility that is at the cutting edge of XCT technology. Show less
