      The course involves studying both natural and built environmental sciences. Learning how to manage both of these and applying them from global legislation levels down to managing energy use at individual buildings. The course has various assessment methods but the majority are presentations and portfolio/project work. I have undergone these assessments as part of a team and by myself.

      12 Month Undergraduate Placement at Porsche Cars GB in the Group Facilities Management Department. The role presented an opportunity to work in a busy, complex department responsible for the maintenance and development of building-related services across eight Porsche locations in the UK. This involved managing the services of individual contractors, working on key projects as well as day-to-day tasks, learning about routine running and workings of a Facilities Management department and delivering project work of more strategic benefit to the business.       After finishing my final year at University I re-joined Porsche in the promoted role of Facilities Coordinator. This covered the same locations as with my internship including 5 retail showrooms, GB Head Office, GB Distribution Centre and Experience Centre at Silverstone Circuit.Once starting I was the main lead for collecting the companies energy usage data and information for the compulsory Energy Savings Opportunities Scheme (ESOS). After the ESOS submission was completed I took more responsibility in both Hard and Soft Facilities, notable Statutory Inspections management and Mechanical/Electrical services.       Renewable Energy Systems (RES) acquired the Asset Management section of REG Power Managements business. This role has included integrating the 31 Project REG wind portfolio into the RES one (multiple systems, such as IT, monitoring, reporting etc) whilst maintaining my duties on the ex-REG sites. I am transitioning to the role of Site Operations Supervisor as the equivalent role within the RES organisation. This involves more focused site management of six wind farm locations in Cornwall and Devon and the Projects equate to 44 wind turbines with a total capacity of over 60MW. Show less
