      RSC Pathways is an online course, which exposed me to this refugee studies’ main disciplines and themes. RSC Pathways is designed to support students who want to progress to graduate studies (i.e., master's or doctoral degrees) or pursue advanced careers in research, humanitarian policy-making, and practice.

      • Coordinated the organization of consultative workshops and committee meetings with steering committees and advisory boards on an ad hoc basis to ensure the involvement of key program stakeholders in the project activities. • Wrote weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports, success stories, lesson learned, media advisories and press releases. • Developed Memorandum of Understanding, Letters of Agreement, drafted press releases, media advisories, success stories, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. • Provided technical assistance as a volunteer member with graduate degrees steering committees to develop curriculum, course syllabi and readings for the newly established degrees. • Led and designed Afghan Higher Education Administrators’ Exposure Visit to Thailand on Curriculum Development, Teaching, Learning and Instructional Design • Contributed to the design of a regular assessment of the instruction method/design to ensure teaching and learning quality. • Led and attended seminars, conferences and exposure visits nationally and regionally.       • Identified key programmatic areas of intervention in three Kabul-based public universities and provincial ones. This resulted in the establishment of eight master degree programs in both Kabul-based and provincial universities. • Led and coordinated programmatic efforts with project partners (a consortium of five organization) and select partner universities for continuous program improvement. • Prepared implementation plans in-line with the strategic goals set out in the project cooperative agreement and Higher Education Strategic Plan. • Established, led and managed international university partnerships and exchange programs for the newly established graduate degrees • Designed and conducted regular summative and formative assessments in-line with Afghanistan Higher Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation Standards to ensure the quality of instruction and delivery under the eight programs. • Provided technical advice to the program committees to develop systems and processes (admission – graduation) for the eight degrees. • Attended donor coordination meetings at the Ministry of Higher Education and discussed mutual areas of interest and collaboration among different donors and their implementing agencies. The US Embassy granted a total of 120 scholarships to AUAF (Academy, Undergraduate & MBA). • Mobilized funds and drafted gift/grant agreements, memorandum of understanding and letters of agreement between AUAF and respective grantors. • Established Yalda Hakim Scholarship Fund. The fund supports the undergraduate education of 12 female students at AUAF. • Developed and enhanced existing scholarship management system to gather information on the recipients of the scholarships, track and manage the scholarship funds and track scholars’ progress and report to donors. • Developed concept notes and grant proposals to mobilize funds from private donors and grantors.       • Led and engaged key personnel and stakeholders to formulate the Institute’s Five-Year Strategic Plan. The new five-year strategic vision resulted in: (i) Creation and institutionalization of the Civil Service Center of Excellence; (ii) Enhancement and revision existing Division of Academic Affairs; and (iii) Establishment and contextualization of the Public Affairs Innovation Lab. • Led and provided subject matter expert inputs in the formulation of the first-ever National Civil Servant Training Policy – aimed at professionalizing 8000 Civil Servants in Afghanistan. • Designed and developed the Civil Service Performance Index - a multi-pronged analytical framework and indicators to gauge institutional capacity and rank order civil service performance across Afghanistan’s government.
