  My current position within MegChem entails among other activities the following:- Designing of new and replacement pressure vessels and heat exchangers to ASME VIII Div.1, TEMA, PD 5500, AD 2000 (AD Merkblatt).- Designing of new and replacement storage tanks to API 650 and API 620.- Compile design calculations for modifications to existing pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, furnaces- Compile Design Calculations for tube bundle replacements- Compile design calculations for the re-rating of existing pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, etc.- Compilation of MAT calculations on existing equipment to assist clients with statutory inspections- Writing technical specifications (RFQ’s) for the procurement of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, PSV’s, TSV’s, CSOW, vessel linings, pumps sets, appurtenances like level glasses, breather vents, etc.- Evaluating bids received on equipment and appurtenances for compliance with TSP’s, writing recommendations on suitability of bidders, updating documentation to Scope of Supply, attending bid clarification and kick-off meetings, reviewing end of job deliverable documentations- Performing the role of the lead EC mechanical engineer on projects.- Reviewing designs of equipment designed by other companies and other MegChem Engineers. - Attending and participating in model reviews, HAZOP studies, prefab meetings, project progress meetings- Site assistance during installation and commissioning of equipment and punching assistance on site.- Managing monthly budgets, invoicing, financial forecasting and all administration associated with the work.
