  Summer Internship

  Working closely with researchers in the field of visual exploration. I was involved in running a study on visual attention using eye tracking. The results of the research formed part of PhD research and were presented at the European Conference on Eye Movements 2015. I helped multiple researchers with both recruitment and testing of participants, some of whom were elderly and some with Down syndrome.

An understanding of UCL systems, how to manage these, and explain them to customers is critical to ensure smooth running of UCL ISD services. Our team received the ISD Incredibles award for Working Collaboratively.

  I worked as part of a team of triallists responsible for running RCTs in education. The results are used to inform teaching and improve outcomes for students, with a focus on closing the attainment gap. We also conducted QED studies and research into the impact of the Covid-19 school closures. I worked as part of the assessment team, developing formative and summative assessments in a range of subjects from reading, maths and science to creative thinking and wellbeing.

  I manage and support evaluations of access-funded projects, to produce high-quality evidence informing our access and participation strategies. This covers activities across the student lifecycle, from outreach/access, through student success and engagement, to careers/progression.On a broader scale, I work with stakeholders to shape and implement a strong framework for evaluation across the university, including trialling innovative evaluation methods.I also provide guidance and training to colleagues on aspects of evaluation, to ensure the successful implementation of the university-wide evaluation strategy.
